Welcome aboard! RTD Escalon Dial-A-Ride and Route 96 (Escalon/Modesto) Intercity Route is Escalon’s own bus system. The door-to-door dial-a-ride service operates within the City of Escalon and the surrounding unincorporated county areas. The intercity Route 96 service operates between Escalon Park and Ride Lot and Modesto at McHenry Avenue @ Standiford Avenue, three days each weekday. Transit Services are funded with State Transportation Development Act (TDA) and Federal Section 5311 funds.

RTD Hopper Route 95 and Intercity Route 96 Service Changes
The San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) made service modifications that were effective June 5, 2005 to Hopper Route 95 and Intercity Route 96. New schedules are available for these routes.

The San Joaquin Regional Transit District (RTD) has updated a new combined Route 96 and Escalon Dial-A-Ride brochure, which is available by calling 1-800-HOW-TO-RIDE to have a copy mailed to you.
SJCOG wants to learn how transit can be improved in Escalon!
The San Joaquin Council of Governments (SJCOG) wants to hear from you on how bus service can be improved in Escalon. Do you have any desires for additional bus service?
