On weekends and holidays, use San Joaquin RTD Hopper Route 95 for trips between Escalon, Manteca, Lathrop and French Camp. RTD Hopper Route 95 will deviate up to three quarters of a mile from the its route to pick persons who are ADA certified. Click here for additional information on ADA certification.

Accessibility
All RTD buses are wheelchair accessible. We recommend that wheelchairs have a working brake system.
Not all bus stops are safe for deployment of the lift. If you have question about accessibility of a particular stop, please call.
As a courtesy to riders with mobility limitations, priority seating has been designated at the front of each bus. Your cooperation in yielding these seats to mobility-limited riders, the seniors and persons with disabilities is appreciated.
The bus operator will assist seniors and person with disabilities on boarding the bus or provide assistance to the door of the persons home, upon request.
Bicycles
Bicycles are allowed on board all RTD Escalon Dial-A-Ride and Route 96 buses. Two bicycles can be stored inside the bus.
How do I Schedule Escalon Dial-A-Ride Service or a Route 96 Deviation?
§ Call (707) 541-6645 Monday through Friday between 9:00 am to 4:00 pm to schedule your ride on the bus, at least 15 minutes in advance.
§ Let the bus operator know where you want to go, within the Escalon Dial-A-Ride or within three quarters of a mile of the Route 96 service area. Click here for the Escalon DAR service area map.
§ If you have an appointment, let us know what time it is. We’ll tell you what time we will pick you up, within a 15-minute time window.
§ You can make reservations up to seven days in advance. Subscription service is available for riders who ride daily, weekly or even monthly. Ask the bus operator.
§ Calls are not taken after the service hours. Calls must be made between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm.
Bus Arrival Times
All bus arrival times are estimates. Your ride will arrive within 15 minutes before or after the quoted time. The bus operator will wait no longer than five (5) minutes for a passenger before departing to the next destination.

Cancellations
You must cancel a ride at least 15 minutes in advance prior to the scheduled pick-up time. Future rides will be dependant on meeting the cancellation policy.
To cancel, call (209) 541-6645 and provide the following information:

Rules of the Road
§ Shirt and shoes must be worn at all times.
§ No hazardous or flammable substances permitted.
§ Eating and drinking on the bus is allowed, as long as all trash is dispose of properly and that there are no spills on the bus.
§ No loud electronic devices. All electronic devices must use headphones.
§ No vandalizing or littering on the bus or transit system facilities.
§ No smoking permitted.
§ All carry on articles must fit between rows of forward facing seats without obstructing the aisles.
§ Passengers must remain seated while the bus is in motion. Standees may be accommodated, if all seats have been taken.
§ Animals are not allowed on buses, except those that are in a carrier or defined as a service animal to assist a person with a disability
§ Only 5 or fewer packages may be brought onto the bus.
§ All strollers, shopping carts and luggage must be folded and stowed away under the seat.
§ RTD may refuse service to any person who is endangering other passengers or the bus operator.
Some of these rules, if violated, is a violation of the California Penal Code, Section 640 and is punishable by a fine of up to and/or up to 6 months of community service.
Paratransit Service
RTD provides a Rural Elderly & Disabled intercity paratransit service that provides complementary Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) paratransit service on behalf of RTD Escalon Dial-A-Ride.
Fares are 2.00. 10-Ride Pass is available for 20.00. RTD Elderly & Disabled Dial-A-Ride has transfer arrangements with Tracer Paratransit, RTD Escalon Dial-A-Ride, RTD Stockton Metro ADA Dial-A-Ride, Lodi GrapeLine Dial-A-Ride, for travel to other areas outside of RTD Rural Elderly & Disabled Dial-A-Ride service area.
In order to use RTD Elderly & Disabled Dial-A-Ride, you be a person that cannot access a RTD Stockton Metro, intercity or Hopper bus stop or board a RTD bus due to a disability or be at least 65 years old or older. Reservations on RTD Elderly & Disabled Dial-A-Ride can be made 1 to 7 days in advance by calling (800) FOR-RIDE, seven days a week between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
RTD Elderly & Disabled Dial-A-Ride operates Monday-Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm. No service is provided on Saturday, Sunday, New Years Day, Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving Day or Christmas Day.
